Nottingham Forest right-back Serge Aurier reportedly is attracting interest in his services from Al-Nassr, although whether a deal can be done remains to be seen.
According to French journalist Nabil Djellit, the Saudi side are really interested in the right-back, who has started the season well for the Premier League outfit.
Aurier joined Forest last season and was steady as Steve Cooper’s side survived in the Premier League, but he could now be on his way to the Middle East.
The Ivorian right-back has spent the last few seasons at Tottenham Hotspur but always seemed to struggle with the defensive side of the game but has improved on that drastically since his move to the East Midlands outfit.
Would Aurier make the move to Al-Nassr
The Saudi Arabian side, who currently have Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane on their books, could well be after more defensive reinforcements as they close in on the signing of Aymeric Laporte from Manchester City.
The French defender is set to join the Saudi side for a fee in the region of £22 million according to the Daily Mail.
Although, due to a technical rule in the Pro League, the Asian federation only allows five players who are not from Asia in their squad according to SPORT.
With Alex Telles, Ronaldo, Mane, Marcelo Brozovic and Seko Fofana in the squad, there is already talk that they may have to release Anderson Talisca from the squad, despite the midfielder scoring 20 goals for the Saudi side in back to back seasons.
The post on X from the French journalist claims that the deal for Aurier may be one that can be completed towards the end of the transfer window as Al-Nassr bid to sort out their issues with player sales.
