Cristiano Ronaldo was seemingly unhappy during Al-Nassr’s 4-2 win against Shabab Al-Ahli and was seen storming down the tunnel at half-time.
Ronaldo, formerly of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon and Juventus, was unhappy as his Saudi side were 2-1 down at half-time as they looked set to be crashing out of the AFC Champions League.
Ronaldo struggled to get involved in the contest and was clearly unhappy with his side’s performance in the game.
The competition is the Asian equivalent of the UEFA Champions League so it is the biggest yearly competition in the Saudi Pro League.
So naturally, Ronaldo, a born winner, was eager to qualify for the group stages of the competition.
In the end it was Anderson Talisca who saved the day, scoring twice including the 95th-minute goal to give them the lead before Marcelo Brozovic sealed the win with just seconds left on the clock.
The half-time incident
The Al-Nassr star was seen storming off the pitch at half-time to much fanfare from the home fans as frustration was etched across the face of the 38-year-old.
The forward had his arms outstretched as he approached the officials and when he approached the referees the anger continued.
There were sharp sudden movements in his arms and his teammates were seemingly trying to pull the Portuguese forward away.
As Ronaldo stormed down toward the tunnel, an official from the Saudi side was in the forward’s way and seemingly shoved the official out of the way before making his way towards the tunnel.
Ronaldo is still a proven winner and is still desperate to win, despite the forward not being in Europe’s top 5 leagues.
The passion and dedication the Portuguese forward has towards winning makes him one of the best players in the world.
