Manchester City have confirmed that Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte has completed his move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
The French defender completed his move for a fee in the region of £23 million, which is something of a huge bargain for the Middle Eastern side.
The Saudi side posted an elaborate Tweet for the fans of the club to try and work out who their new signing is and it can’t be understated just how good the defender is.
The 29-year-old joined City from Athletic Bilbao in January 2018 for a then club record £57m.
He helped City win 12 major honours but made just 24 appearances as the Blues won the Treble last season.
“It has lasted five-and-a-half unforgettable years. Plenty of memories that I will keep forever close to my heart,” said Laporte on the club’s website.

The Spanish defender will offer a wide array of skills for his new teammates.
His abilities on the ball make him a superb modern-day defender. His reading of the game, too, makes him an unbelievable addition.
The addition of that experience to a relatively inexperienced side at the top level will surely elevate the side to being one of the favourites in the division.
After a poor start to the season, where Ronaldo’s side lost back-to-back games at the start of the season, Al-Nassr have been leaking goals and needing defensive reinforcements to be able to improve the squad.
After signing Manchester United left-back Alex Telles, the Brazilian has been a notoriously poor defender so the hope will be the addition of the City defender could well be huge for their title aspirations.
