Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane have both had electric starts to the season for Al-Nassr and the pair could be key to driving the Saudi side towards the league title.
Mane, who joined the club from Bayern Munich for a fee in the region of £35 million, represents one of the signings of the summer and for a decent fee, too.
For Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the game’s greatest strikers, he has also had an electric start to his career in the Middle East.
Following a move to the Saudi side in the winter, Ronaldo had a good season in the Saudi Pro League and has started this season like a house on fire.
Ronaldo scored two penalties against Al-Shabab as Al-Nassr made it back-to-back wins in the Saudi Pro League and continued to respond after losing their opening two matches of the season.
The Saudi side started the season terribly and looked to be struggling despite the influx of new players to the side but since then the Saudi side have won every game in the league and in the Arab Cup.
Could the Saudi side win the league
After a poor start to the season, there was a worry that with Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad investing a heavy amount of money which would have meant the Saudi side would be out of the race for the title.
However, after a resurgent few weeks, Al-Nassr could well force themselves into the race for the title and the hope will be that Ronaldo and Mane could be the difference makers.
Ronaldo now has five goals in his last two league games and sits top of the goalscoring charts.
