Cristiano Ronaldo’s son has made his first appearance for Al-Nassr after signing a contract with the club last week.
Numerous reports had confirmed that Cristiano Jr. followed in his father’s footsteps and signed a deal to play for Al-Nassr’s U13 team and wear the iconic no.7 shirt.
Just hours later, the teenager was named in the U15 squad’s lineup to face Al-Qadsiyah as the Riyadh giants cruised to a 6-0 victory.
Despite featuring against Al-Qadsiah, he is set to continue training with the U13s before making the leap to the next stage in Al-Nassr’s academy.
The 13-year-old has been part of the youth systems at Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Juventus during the last five years.
Fabrizio Romano also reposted a quote from Ronaldo back in 2020, where he hoped to share the pitch with his son in the senior team at some point in the future.
Ronaldo recently expressed his desire to play for the next two years but remains unsure whether he will continue beyond that period of time.
The 38-year-old had joined Al-Nassr in January this year and has been influential to his club and the Saudi Pro League.
His move to the Middle East was followed by the arrivals of a number of stars in European football including Neymar, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Ruben Neves, and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
With 12 goals in all competitions, Ronaldo is currently the league’s leading goalscorer and has contributed to Al-Nassr’s title charge this season.
