Cristiano Ronaldo made it 1000 career games unbeaten as Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr picked up a 2-0 win in the AFC Champions League against Persepolis.
The Portuguese superstar played 90 minutes, before getting subbed off in added time, during his side’s 2-0 win to continue their good start to the season.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet on the night, the 38-year-old did still manage to break an impressive record, once again.
Al-Nassr’s victory in the Asian Champions League means that Ronaldo reached his 1000th game in his career unbeaten (wins or draws).
After Milad Sarhak was sent off for the hosts after the Iranian trod on Ronaldo’s foot during an attack for the Saudi side, the visitors punished the Iranian side’s mistake.
Ten minutes later the former Manchester United striker released former Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic into the box to break the host’s resolve, with Abdulrahman Ghareeb scoring the opener through a deflected strike from the Croatian’s cutback.

Speaking after the hard-fought win over the Iranian side, the former Liverpool winger spoke after the game and was keen to praise his side’s performance.
“It was a good game, even though the first half was a little bit difficult for both teams,” said Al-Nassr forward Mane.
“We played well in the second half, we created some chances and we scored two goals and I think we deserved to win tonight.”
The Saudi side, with Ronaldo and Mane at their disposal, will surely be one of the favourites for the competition and if the pair are in top form, you wonder if they could win the whole competition.
