Al-Nassr midfielder Anderson Talisca has been linked with a move away from the Saudi side this summer but the former Besiktas man has seemingly committed his future to the Saudi side.
The midfielder had seemingly been told he needed to leave the Saudi side to make space for more new signings for Cristiano Ronaldo’s side.
This seemed harsh on Talisca who had been superb for the Saudi side in back-to-back seasons which included consecutive 20-goal seasons from midfield.
After signing Aymeric Laporte, Alex Telles, Seko Fofana and Sadio Mane, it seemed that the Saudi side had signed too many non-Asian players this summer.
The Saudi side have committed nearly £100 million this summer on signings from Europe’s top 5 leagues and you wouldn’t bet against Al-Nassr trying to make one or two more new signings before the window closes on the 20th of September.
Talisca’s statement
The Brazilian midfielder posted a message on his social media page addressing the rumours about his future and denying the murmurings around his future with the Saudi side.
“I renewed until the 26th, there’s no reason for me to leave the club, I’m not negotiating with anyone, the club has no intention of leaving me, because there’s no reason, And the numbers don’t lie,” the midfielder revealed on his social media.
“I’m happy here, I don’t want to go anywhere. I have a beautiful history with this club, when I arrived at the club I went through all the difficulties with this club, and don’t forget it either, I’m not going anywhere. I have no intention of leaving here, I am happy in this country with my family.”
It did seem harsh that the midfielder, who has arguably been one of the club’s best players in the division, looked to be the fall guy for the club’s new signings this summer but he has seemingly put these rumours to bed.
