Al-Nassr are said to be after yet another player as they strive to improve their squad amid a winless opening two games in the league.

Aymeric Laporte is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Al-Nassr with a £25million deal being touted.

Laporte would join Sadio Mane, Seko Fofana, Marcelo Brozovic and also Alex Telles in defence.

This side has the makings of being brilliant along with Cristiano Ronaldo, however now look like they aren’t finished with recruitments.

One name being thrown in as a potential sixth signing, is former Tottenham and PSG right-back Serge Aurier.

Aurier to Al-Nassr

It has been claimed that the Ivory Coast defender is attracting ‘interest’ from Saudi Arabia.

The 30-year-old joined his current club Nottingham Forest as a free-agent last summer and had his contract extended an additional year in June.

But it now seems Forest could be set for a pretty profit on him, with French journalist Nabil Djellit claiming that Al Nassr have a ‘particular’ interest in Aurier.

It was posted on X: “We will have to watch the Serge Aurier case until the end of the transfer window. The Ivory Coast international has interests from Saudi Arabia and more particularly from Al Nassr.”

Forest boss Steve Cooper likely wouldn’t be delighted to lose Aurier but we imagine the substantial fee could make it worthwhile.

However the English manager place an importance on full-backs which could signal that Aurier is one of the most important positions on the pitch.

Cooper once saying: “Wing-backs are important, because they have to do a bit of everything, don’t they?”
