Sadio Mane and Cristiano Ronaldo may well be one of the most exciting link-ups in the Saudi Pro League next season.

The pair have both had glorious careers in football, Ronaldo will go down as one of the greats of the game meanwhile Mane is a certified Liverpool icon.

Ronaldo has seemingly been the catalyst for others to make the move to the Saudi Pro League and it seems the pair have struck up a great bond already.

The Portuguese forward scored a superb header yesterday as the Saudi side drew 1-1 against Egyptian side Zamalek SC.

The leap and the contact from Ronaldo was a classic goal from the Portuguese striker and it seems that Mane is enjoying linking up with the former Manchester United forward.

Mane’s social media post

The Senegalese winger made his debut for the Saudi side during the game and posted a message on social media about his appreciation of the support he received from the Al-Nassr fans.

He said: “Congrats on your goal Big Man, Cristiano. On to the next round thanks Al-Nassr fans, the support was amazing.”

The 31-year-old struggled in Germany but it seems he is already right at home in the new surroundings of the Middle Eastern side.

Al-Nassr will be hoping to wrestle the league title away from Al-Ittihad but this will already be a big ask due to the calibre of signings made by their fellow Saudi sides.

But with Mane and Ronaldo as a partnership, Al-Nassr certainly should believe that they can go all the way in the division.

If the pair can click as well as it is hoped, then who knows what will happen for the Saudi side this season.

Mane started on the bench in the game as he was lacking match sharpness but it is hoped he will be able to start their next game as the season preparation ramps up.
