Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo continues to be rewarded for his performances in Saudi Arabia earning a hat-trick of awards in Dubai.
The Portuguese enjoyed a sensational year at Al-Nassr since making the move in 2023 inspiring several players to make the move to the Middle East.
With 54 goals last year, Ronaldo managed to beat competition from Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappe to become the world’s top scorer.
As a result, the 38-year-old claimed three awards at the latest edition of the Globe Soccer Awards that was held on Friday.
Despite losing out on the Best Men’s Player award to Manchester City’s Haaland, Ronaldo won the Best Middle East Player prize, the Maradona Award for the best goalscorer in 2023, and the Fans’ Favourite Player of the Year award.
Real Madrid sensation Jude Bellingham also captured the Powerhouse Emerging Player award for his incredible start with Los Blancos.
More accolades for Ronaldo
Having already won three Saudi Pro League Player of the Month awards so far this season, it seems Ronaldo cannot stop winning individual honours.
The forward expressed his delight with the awards and explained how he can still compete with the world’s best at his age.
“I was the best goalscorer. Imagine that, [beating] the young lions like [Erling] Haaland, for example. I’m proud. I’m 39 soon, and I’m still looking good,” Ronaldo said at the awards ceremony.
