Cristiano Ronaldo reflected on Al-Nassr’s victory over Roberto Firimno’s Al-Ahli and also heaped praise on the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Nassr managed to overcome Al-Ahli in a vital 4-3 win to extend their winning streak to five games after a disappointing start to the season.
A back-and-forth battle between both sides ended in Al-Nassr’s favour as doubles from Ronaldo and Anderson Talisca earned the Riyadh giants all three points.
Speaking after the game, Ronaldo expressed his delight following his side’s victory and praised the performance of both teams.

“It was a great game. We played well against a good team and we knew that it would be very difficult but I think we were better.
“We started well, scored two goals and I think for the fans, it was an amazing game with good goals from both sides but we are happy because we are now competing at the top and that’s what we were looking for.”
The Portuguese also talked about his passion for football and took aim at his critics after a stellar start to the Saudi Pro League season.
With nine goals and four assists in six games, Ronaldo is currently the league’s leading goalscorer and looks to be back to his best at 38 years old.
“I still love football. Even at my age, I still love to play, score goals and win games and I will continue until my legs say ‘Cristiano is finished’
“Until now, I feel good and I can still help the team but for me, the most important thing is we won the game and we are back on top.
“As I said a few months ago, Saudi Arabia is a lovely country and the football here is now at the top level in my opinion. We have amazing players, the league is better now and the people here deserve that,” he added.
