Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted after his Al-Nassr side were victorious against Raja Ca and it was his goal that got the Saudi side on their way to victory.

Ronaldo has been successful since his move to the Saudi Pro League and continues his record of scoring a goal every other game on average.

The Portuguese forward will be hoping to guide Al-Nassr to the Pro league title this season and with the signings they have made so far this summer, it wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility that the Saudi side, one of four owned by the Public Investment Fund, could win the title from Al-Ittihad.

After the Saudi side also signed former Liverpool winger Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich, they could well be the favourites to win the Pro League title but will face competition from some of the bigger sides in the Middle East.

Ronaldo’s social media post

As mentioned, Al-Nassr reached the semi-final of the Arab Cup with goals from Ronaldo, Seko Fofana, and Sultan Al-Ghannam were amongst the goals to guide the side to the Arab Cup semi-final.

Ronaldo posted on his Instagram with the caption: “Into the semi-finals! Great feeling to keep scoring and helping the team to move forward in the competition!”

Ronaldo has been a big influence for the sudden boom in top-class players making the move to the Saudi Pro League, with his teammate Mane being one of the latest to agree to the move to the Middle East.

Another player who made the move, and who scored for Al-Nassr over the weekend, is former RC Lens midfielder Fofana.

The Ivorian performed well for the French side in Ligue 1 and perhaps it is surprising that the midfielder made the move to the Saudi side.

With Ronaldo, Mane and Fofana, Al-Nassr surely are one of the favourites for the Pro League title this season
