Anderson Talisca expressed his delight after scoring a hat-trick to help Al-Nassr overcome Al-Duhail 3-2 in the AFC Champions League.
Al-Nassr had to do without the services of top scorer Cristiano Ronaldo as the 38-year-old was rested due to muscle fatigue.
Despite their form, Al-Nassr went behind as Al-Duhail took a surprise lead after seven minutes through former Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho.
However, Talisca restored parity 20 minutes later with a long-range strike on his weaker foot before scoring a carbon copy of his equaliser in quick succession to give Al-Nassr the lead.
The Brazilian completed his treble in the second half after a delightful combination play with Abdulrahman Ghareeb to establish a two-goal cushion as Coutinho pulled one back for Al-Duhail from a late penalty.
Speaking after the game, Talisca praised his teammates and attributed his goal-scoring achievements to their effort while also discussing Al-Nassr’s progression this season.
“I am proud of being part of this huge revolution at the club,” Talisca said after the game. “Al-Nassr is now one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“We work as a team and I don’t put too much importance on hat-tricks or how many goals I score. These numbers are a result of our collective work, and without my teammates, I wouldn’t have been able to score.
“Cristiano Ronaldo helped us improve a lot by changing the mentality of players in the team and the entire league as well.
“I have a great relationship with Al-Nassr and its fans, and they know that as well. I have been here for a while now,” he added.
