Al-Nassr’s proposed deal for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson may well now be unlikely this summer as the Brazilian goalkeeper has given his decision about his future.
According to journalist Ekrem Konour on Twitter, the Brazilian goalkeeper has no desire to leave Liverpool this summer.
This comes as a huge blow for Al-Nassr who are seemingly desperate to sign a new goalkeeper.
This comes after the Saudi side were reportedly interested in the former Roma goalkeeper and the 30-year-old was reportedly tempted by the offer according to Foot Mercato.
The search for a new goalkeeper looks to continue for Jorge Jesus’ side and with rivals Al-Hilal looking to set to sign Sevilla goalkeeper Yassine Bono, they may need to be smart when it comes to recruiting a goalkeeper of their own.
Who could Al-Nassr target?
The question on fans’ lips will be who can they target this summer if they are so keen on a goalkeeper. They will want a goalkeeper with experience at the highest level and one who would be committed to the cause.
David De Gea, who was released from Manchester United back in July due to his poor performances and his contract expiring, could well be a superb option for the Saudi side if they so wish.
The Spaniard isn’t as good as he once was but would still be one of if not the best goalkeepers in the division. His reflexes make him an outstanding goalkeeper although his distribution and command of his area leave something to be desired.
Potentially Hugo Lloris could be another decent option for the Saudi side. According to Sky Sports, clubs from the Saudi Pro League are interested in the Frenchman but it seems Lazio is the most concrete possibility for the Frenchman, according to Gianluca Di Marzio. So they may have to swoop in for the goalkeeper if they are one of the interested parties.
