Al-Nassr could reportedly miss out on the signing of former Spain and Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Riyadh giants are currently lining up potential signings in the January transfer window and have included De Gea in their list according to rumours.

This comes after reports emerged of the potential departure of former Arsenal shot-stopper David Ospina, who could be set to leave next month.

However, it seems that a potential deal for De Gea is far from being down with other clubs also keen on signing the Spaniard.

Multiple English reports had stated that the 33-year-old turned down Al-Nassr’s initial offer of £500,000 per week in wages, which was £125,000 higher than his deal at Manchester United.

According to a recent report by The Sun, Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq are now leading the race to sign De Gea but are yet to agree personal terms.

Should they fail to meet De Gea’s demands, other Saudi Pro League clubs will step up their interest in the latter.

The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper has been without a club since the summer after his Manchester United contract expired back in July.
