Al-Nassr have reportedly held talks with out-of-favour Manchester United defender Eric Bailly with the Saudi side stepping up their preparation for the new season.
According to Dharmesh Sheth from Sky Sports, representatives from the Saudi side have held discussions with the Ivorian, who is seemingly not in Erik ten Hag’s plans for the new season.
The defender spent last season on loan at French giants Marseille but struggled to hold down a first-team spot and made just 17 appearances in the French league but only started five first-team games.
Sheth goes on to say, however, that there are other sides still in the race for the centre-back’s signature and the defender is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The defender, who joined United from Spanish side Villarreal back in 2016, has just one year remaining on his contract but Erik ten Hag’s side do have the option of a further year on his contract, although that option is seemingly unlikely to be triggered by the Premier League side.

Two former Manchester United players have already made the move to the Saudi side, after Ronaldo joined in the January of last season, Brazilian left-back Alex Telles joined the club for around £4 million plus add-ons.
Bailly would certainly bring defensive steel into the Saudi side’s defence although his erratic nature may well cause frustration from the Al-Nassr fans and indeed Ronaldo himself, he certainly has his positives that outweigh the negatives.
The one big concern around the defender is his injury record, the Ivorian has struggled hugely with injuries and this is partly due to his full-blooded nature when it comes to defending.
Bailly has just started 20 games in 4 seasons and his injury concerns may well be off-putting for the Saudi side but if they can sign the defender for a decent fee, then it would be a no-brainer.
