Al-Nassr youngster Ayman Yahya has reportedly rejected the club’s latest contract extension offer during the current transfer window.
With the arrival of several stars from Europe led by Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte last summer, players like Yahya have struggled for game time under head coach Luis Castro.
The 22-year-old has made 16 appearances in all competitions, providing a crucial assist in the AFC Champions League playoffs earlier this season.
However, he is yet to play in his preferred attacking positions and has been often deployed as a left-back behind ex-Manchester United defender Alex Telles in the pecking order.
As a result, Arriyadiyah have confirmed that the player has turned down Al-Nassr’s latest contract extension proposal with his deal running out in the summer.
The offer would have seen Yahya earn around £10,000 in weekly wages but it seems the latter is willing to weigh up options entering the final six months of his current deal.
The report also added that Castro would like to keep Yahya due to his versatility as he can serve as back-up to Sadio Mane, Otavio, and Anderson Talisca upfront.
Despite that, Al-Nassr have been on the lookout for a new left-back this month and are reportedly willing to spend big money on Al-Shabab’s Moteb Al-Harbi.
