Al-Nassr director Marcelo Salazar says it took a “collective” effort to convince former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo to sign for the Saudi Arabian club.
Cristiano Ronaldo made the tough decision to move to the Saudi Pro League after seeing his contract at Old Trafford terminated.
Ronaldo, in the end, decided that a move to the Middle East was what he needed in his career and vowed to improve the league and increase its popularity,
It’s fair to say the iconic forward has done that and more as some of Europe’s biggest stars decided to follow the 38-year-old and play in the Pro League.
Well, it was Al-Nassr who took the plunge and brought one of the biggest and best players to ever play the sport to their team and Marcelo Salazar has been amazed by his impact on the team.

“The transfer was definitely a big earthquake. It was a very ambitious and brilliant move from our club. It was a collective work,” Salazar said speaking to Phillip Kessler.
“To convince a big star like Cristiano, you have to present him with a good project. It’s not only about money. Cristiano is a legend. Every time you check his numbers, you get surprised. This guy seems to be limitless.
“What impresses me the most is how committed he is: the level of professionalism that he shows every minute in the club and outside of it, all the infrastructure that he builds in his house to have the best recovery, to be in the best possible condition every game.”
The Portuguese forward has had a superb start for the Saudi side as he approaches a year in the Middle East with 25 goals in 30 games.
The hope will be that the Portuguese forward could be the difference as Al-Nassr chases the Pro League title.
