Al-Nassr have been dealt a double injury blow ahead of their Saudi Pro League encounter with Al-Fayha on Saturday.

The Riyadh giants have been on a good run of form after earning back-to-back wins against Damac and Al-Duhail in the AFC Champions League.

Luis Castro’s side are looking to maintain their unbeaten run against Al-Fayha but they could be without two of their key players.

According to Arriyadiyah, former Internazionale midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has not travelled with Al-Nassr’s squad due to injury.

Despite returning to training during the week, Brozovic still has problems with his knee and will not be available for selection.

The Croatian has not played for Al-Nassr after returning from the international break and will likely miss out on the Al-Fayha trip to complete his recovery.

Meanwhile, Aymeric Laporte remains doubtful as the ex-Manchester City defender sustained a minor injury during team training on Friday.

Al-Nassr’s list of absences also includes in-form right-back Sultan Al-Ghannam, who is currently serving a three-game suspension after receiving a red card against Abha earlier this month.

The injury blow could prove costly for Al-Nassr as they are now seven points behind leaders Al-Hilal with a game in hand.

Al-Hilal recently claimed a convincing 3-1 win over Roberto Firmino’s Al-Ahli in the league’s 11th round to extend their lead at the top of the table.
